Patient Review 1:

Dr. Bell and his staff; Sandie, Michelle and Miss Daisy wre all just so wonderful and incredible healthcare professionals. Our healthcare system has been limping along for some time. Most of the people going into the field definitely lack sensitivity, patient care skills and sometimes even humanity it seems!

My experience at Seattle Smile Works was nothing short of exemplary in every way. From my first phone call to Sandie, who went out of her way to get me straight in as I had an awful toothache that was infected.

Daisy took me back to the chair, completed digital x-rays and then stayed with me in the room keeping me company for at least 30 minutes until the doctor could see me. I came in without a scheduled appointment and they acted like they had just been waiting for me to arrive for weeks,

When I was leaving Michelle who handles the billing was terrific in helping me and she and Sandie coordinated to get me right back in for my root-canal - they changed THEIR schedule for me.

About Hygienist: Dr. Bell kept me entertained and relaxed during my whole 2.5 hour procedure. I even drifted off to sleep a couple of times during a root-canal! He only administered novacaine for the procedure, but it was all that I needed because he was so careful and gentle. He is also funny as heck!

I am a loyal and dedicated customer/patient of this practice for life! I drive over an hour to be seen here and I will continue to do so because it's worth it. Thank you all so much :-)

I had a terrible tooth ache in the night, and no current dentist. I picked Dr. Bell largely on the basis of reviews here, and he completely lived up to them! They fit me in right away. His receptionist was a sweet heart, and Dr. Bell was extremely courteous, diplomatic and solicitous and very sensitive to pain management. And, after he relaxed a little bit, very charming and funny. Prep work for -two- *surprise* root canals is no laughing matter, but I enjoyed myself there as much as I ever have in a dentist's chair and find myself actually *looking forward* to going back. How weird is that?

And thank you, Dr. Oogle, for helping me find him!

I don't think I have words enough to explain my complete and utter satisfaction with my dental results with Dr. Farad Bell. Over a year ago I had a tooth knocked out in the front of my mouth while at work causing quite a gap in my smile, and more than that, some serious pain and tension. I was referred to 2 other dentists before Dr Bell, and each time left their offices feeling badgered, hopeless- and still, toothless. I really thought I was never going to find the results, or dentist I was looking for. Then I met Dr. Bell. He is not simply a dentist, he is a master of artistry, a healer, and a kind human being. He listened to every concern I had and answered each question without hesitation and intuitively knew exactly what my fears were and addressed them in a chair-side manner I was positively stunned by. I feel so lucky to have found him.

5 weeks ago I had a 3 prong bridge and 3 veneers put in that completely altered my smile leaving me feeling more confident every time I open my mouth. What used to embarrass me now fills me with pride, and I have no one to thank but Dr. Bell and his amazing staff.

About Hygienist: I worked mostly with Daisy in 6-7 hour sessions over a period of a few days, and let me tell you, she is a PRO. Her precision and skill is amazing and her talent and positivity are truly unbelievable.

I am new to the area, and went to a dentist was recommended to me. I was unimpressed with the recommended dentist who made me feel like I was an inconvenience. Not only that, the staff made me feel like an idiot because I could not tolerate some of the prep pieces in my mouth, such as a block and a dam. I have somewhat avoided dental work due to some anxiety, and through researching it on the web, I came across Dr. Bell's name. I decided to try his office, and boy am I glad I did! Dr. Bell and his staff are WONDERFUL! They are caring, respectful, knowledgeable, and even humorous! It is such a pleasant experience to go there, and they are very accommodating. They go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable. I have had two visits there, with some major work done - with no block, no dam, and no anxiety! All health professionals should enjoy their job and treat their patients the way Dr. Bell and his staff do! I will certainly keep going back for the excellent care and service at Seattle Smile Works.

I went to Dr. Bell after having some prior dental work that was very poor. Dr. Bell and his staff were kind, patient and listened to my concerns. It was a refreshing and needed change. He explained the treatment procedures and worked with us, respectfully. I highly recommend Dr. Bell to anyone, but especially those with high anxiety.

I recently went to Dr. Bell for pain I was experiencing. I had to have two extractions, one being an impacted wisdom tooth. He explained all options thoroughly and said he would offer a referral should I wish to receive local anesthetic. I went with gas and anti-anxiety meds and the procedure went swimmingly (it took awhile because I had a nerve wrapped around the tooth root). Dr. Bell 1)knows his stuff but even more important, because I think 'knowing your stuff' is something that 95+% of dds's do, he does treat patients with a gentle hand and with care...he puts humanity into it; something that is lacking too often in the medical field. Thanks, Dr. Bell!

I found Dr. Bell on line. I have pretty severe gum disease. After 2 failed dental procedures done by 2 local endodontists in west Seattle, I was told by one of them to have a crucial tooth extracted and have an implant. I was very overwhelmed and worried about my future dental condition---losing an important tooth, having multiple procedures, spending lots of money, deteriorating dental health. I decided to go out of my way--from west Seattle to Northgate to see Dr. Bell. I am so glad that I made the journey.

Dr. Bell is far more superior over any other dentists I have ever seen in terms of knowledge, skill, technology and his genuine caring.

Dr. Bell performed a surgery to save the tooth that was botched twice by the endodontists, supposedly the experts in that field. He also came up with a plan to treat my periodontal disease which was never treated by my regular dentist except for general cleaning.

I am very grateful to Dr. Bell. I wish I had done my research many years earlier.

I'm 23, so rarely have to visit the dentist. I went last week due to increase pain in back molar. I found Dr. Bell from this web site. There are other dentists closer to my home, but I choose this team based on the reviews I read. I went out of my way to drive to this office, I'm I'm very glad I did. From the dental assistant Terri to the front desk lady (whos name escapes me). Everyone is exceptionally kind. Oonce they found out I was having pain, they scheduled me right away. All of the small things they do really make a difference, whether its a blanket during your procedure to make sure you're warm, or taking extra time talking to you so you feel comfortable with what they are doing. These people still have the lost art of caring for others. You aren't just a number here, these are professionals who will make sure you are completely taken care of. I have a bit work still to be done on my teeth and I will drive the extra ten minutes just to go to this office. On top of it they have a great sense of humor! Even while I was in the middle of getting work done, they had me smiling and laughing. Other places might have huge fancy offices, but this is the place to go to if you want quality care and support 24 hours a day. - David B

Dr. Bell has been my dentist for 10 years. I was seeing him at another office, and when he decided to open his own business I followed him all the way to Seattle. It may take me twice as long to get there, but boy is he worth it! I used to be terrified of the dentist, but Dr. Bell makes my visits relaxing. I may come home with a numb mouth, but I feel great! If you are looking for a kind hearted dentist who you want to bring your whole family too, you have found the right place!

I have lived all over the country and I have never had a dentist like Dr Bell. He TRULY cares about his patients and treats us as if we were his own family. He does excellent work, he is very skilled. When I grew up in Illinois, I had many cavities, and now that I'm older, there isn't a whole lot of real tooth remaining in some places. But the crowns and everything he has done gives me a very nice smile, just like I always had, and I still have all of my original teeth.

I also have severe neck problems, and he always makes sure that I am very comfortable in the chair, and throughout the procedure.

Long ago, I stopped bringing my children to a pediatric dentist and brought them to Dr Bell instead. The pediatric dentist treated all the kids like cattle, and he didn't care at all about the child, but acted almost as if they weren't there. But not so with Dr Bell! He cares about my children and takes the time to get to know them and find out their interests and they are receiving far better treatment. They actually look forward to seeing Dr Bell.

I completely trust his honesty and integrity. He is kind and compassionate. He takes every precaution to make sure that there is minimal or no pain during the procedure.

Dr. Bell has by far the best chair side manner of any dentist I have ever seen. He is knowledgable, thoughtful and treats his patients with a great deal of dignity. He takes time to ensure a comfortable, relaxing and pain free dental experience. He demonstrates a genuine desire to identify root causes of dental issues and is happy to refer one to medical professionals who may be better suited to treat a specific problem. His humbleness is refreshing and kindness is unbeatable.

Thanks to Dr. Bell I can eat without a tear drop running down my cheek! The last wisdom tooth that was finally extracted is something I keep--not only as a reminder to brush, but also too to recall that dental work doesn't always have to be a horrifying experience. Dr. Bell does his best to put patients at ease. He is very kind, soothing and will walk you through the procedure, almost "coaching" scared patients like me. The quality of work is excellent, and he will call you the next day after a procedure like an extraction, to see how you are doing. The staff is very pleasant also, and the office offers free nitrous. I would highly recommend this doctor.

We have seen Dr Bell for many years and he is extremely caring for all of our family members. In fact, we stopped seeing a pediatric dentist with the children. The pediatric dentist had been unable to see our kids literally for months when they had cavities, unlike Dr Bell. Dr. Bell is such a warm, friendly, caring, human - and then he applies the same characteristics to dentistry. I had been afraid to go to the dentist for most of my life; but the past 10 years with Dr. Bell has restored my faith in HIS form of dentistry. What a wonderful experience to go to the dentist! I had a terrible experience as a child with Dentists. Doctor Bell with his caring manner and professional team has renewed my faith in taking care of my dental health. I have received wonderful dental work each time.

I now understand the importance of dental health. I'm thankful for the patience he and his staff has shown me in the ten years plus that I've been seeing Doctor Bell.

Dr. Bell was the first dentist I had seen in 18 years! Needless to say, I needed a lot of work done and I was extremely nervous going in. He was so calming and made sure I felt completely comfortable with every procedure, simple or complicated.

He did a filling and a root canal. Root canals have always been horror stories for the people I had talked to, but it really wasn't a bad experience in the least! I felt no major pain after and was back to work the next day. Now the dentist isn't such a nerve wracking idea and I've become more confident in my smile.

This is my second review of Dr. Bell. After my last visit, I later needed two root-canal procedures. This was my first experience having a root-canal, but with Dr. Bell I felt completely at ease. He is solely focused on the patient at hand, and goes out of his way to make the process as comfortable as possible, and his assistants are the absolute best. It was so much easier than what most of us are conditioned to believe through popular jokes about "root-canals". I found it as easy as enduring a manicure. No exaggeration!

I can't imagine ever seeing another dentist, and if I leave WA State, I'll return to see Dr. Bell.

I am so impressed by Dr Bell work. I chipped my front teeth years ago. When I decided to have them fixed I went to a demist that advertised themselves as a Cosmetic Specialist. I paid big dollars to have my front teeth cosmetically alerted. I was not happy with the results but it was livable. In just a year, the work started to fall apart. After a big chuck of the work came off one of my front teeth. I went to Cottage Lake Family dental for an emergency fix. This is where I first meet Dr. Bell.. He was awesome& Fixed the front tooth and gave me a couple of options to have the rest of my front teeth fixed. I had 6 of my front teeth done with composite veneers. The work is amazing. I am so gratefully to Dr Bell for his amazing work.

I found Dr. Bell after reading the reviews on this website. I wanted a second opinion after another dentist recommended a molar extraction. I contacted Dr. Bell ( via email), he made an appointment for me the next day for a free consultation. He determined that the tooth could be saved with a crown and root canal therapy.

Thanks to Dr. Bell, I now have a healthy tooth, with no problems whatsoever. If it had not been for his willingness to help, I would of had the extraction and ended up spending a great deal of time and money on an implant.

Dr. Bell has a great calming and reassuring mannerism. He genuinely cares about his patients and his work. He demonstrates a wealth of knowledge and skill that is so rare in many dentists. I HIGHLY recommend him and his staff.

THeir staff is top notch and professional. Their facilities do look very strip-mallish. But on the plus side, each of their dentist chairs is in its own room/partition. They do everything to accomodate you and make the experience more pleasurable from lending you CD player to using cloth gloves instead of latex to anything you need.

I found out about Dr. Bell on this site. I needed a new crown, and cleaning and have never had a nicer experience at the dentist's office. All staff were wonderful, knowledgeable, and comforting. As for chair-side manners, Dr. Bell rates at the very top of my list for any type of practicing physician. Pain was almost non-existent. He uses his own topical anesthetic, so I never felt the slightest needle prick. He has my highest recommendation.

I found Dr Bell on this website after losing faith in my previous dentist. As nervous as I was to trust again, I went forward with cosmetic work on my front top teeth. The results were truely remarkable! I had a full set of crowns on my four front teeth. The temporaries were even beautiful! I would absolutely recommend Dr. Bell to anyone for either cosmetic work or just a regular filling. The staff was nice, educational, and comforting. I can now do nothing but smile!

I have just had a second NORAD Snor-Gard made by Dr. Bell. I wanted to pass along what an excellent job Dr. Bell does at creating the personalized version of this great device!

if anyone needs help with snoring or light sleep apnea, I just can't praise the NORAD device enough. I spent over 5 years fighting snoring ans sleep problems. That included 12 surgeries ranging from throat reduction to a having my uvula removed. Nothing made much difference, but ever since I got my first Snor-Gard 3 years ago I slept 100% better and snoring is pretty much gone. This device can make a huge difference...

I suffer from sleep Apena and have been using a CAPA machine for two years. The results from the machine were less than I expected. After consulting with Dr. Bell he was able to make a custom mouth appliance to work in conjunction with my CPAP machine. My problem; I open my mouth, my jaw slips back resulting in my airway closing off. I was not getting maximum benifet from my CPAP. After three weeks using the appliance my sleep has improved, I feel better, and for the first time in two years I slept part of the night without the CPAP.

I can not say enough about the work done not only by Dr. Bell , the entire staff I met were outstanding, caring, friendly and eager to make me feel at ease. From the first visit it was like I had known them for years.

Anyone suffering from Sleep Apena I would recommend they consult with Dr. Bell to learn what he might be do to help you get a good night rest.

I met Dr Bell by chance. We worked together on a project that had nothing to do with dentistry. After working with him I was so impressed with his true caring and warm heart I asked what type of work he was in. He told me he was a dentist. I explained to him that I had mixed feelings about my current dentist about how to handle an issue with my bridge. He suggested that I make an appointment and he would give his advice. Needless to say he is not the ONLY dentist I will see. I have recommended him to all my friends and family. My sister and her family drive from Wallace ID to see him. Over the past four years his family has become my family.. his staff is the best..

You just don't get any better that Dr Bell and Cottage Lake Dentistry period. I truly love them all.

Dr. Bell met me at his office on Christmas Day to relieve the pain of a sore tooth. I had neglected my teeth for several years due to pregnancy and the busy life of a new mom. Consequently I needed several fillings, a root canal and a crown. Dr. Bell and his staff were EXCELLENT with me. I am a white knuckle dental patient and they made me very relaxed and comfortable every time. We were referred to Dr. Bell recently because we are new to the area and now my whole family goes to him. I recently broke a molar and went to Dr. Bell because he was close by. I'm really glad I did. He discovered a very deep cavity was the cause of the tooth breakage. However, he was able to remove the deep cavity without reaching the nerve, saving me from a root canal. I had absolutely no pain throughout the entire procedure. Thank you Dr. Bell for such a great experience with my first filling.

After having a very poor root canal done with a local dentist,

he fractured the tooth down to the jaw, I traveled over 300 miles and 2 mountain passes to see Dr. Bell. Most dentist would have pulled the tooth but Dr. Bell saved the tooth with no pain!

I then made the same trip with my husband who had a broken tooth and Dr. Bell saved his tooth as well with no pain! We then made a third trip with our eight year old son who was afraid of going to the dentist (thanks to his mother). He had several cavaties filled and didn't even realize he had a shot! Sean is no longer afraid of the dentist and can't wait to go back and see "his" Dr. Bell! Words cannot describe the care and compassion we received from Dr. Bell. Dr. Bell is the best!!!!!!

Dr. Bell gave me a new smile and a renewed confidence to show it. I had severe wear on my top front teeth, and Dr. Bell used cosmetic bonding to completely restore my top teeth. Doing this required knowledge about the mechanics of my bite, as well as an incredible sense of artistry. Dr. Bell performed at the highest level in both of these aspects, and he is also an incredibly caring and sensitive doctor. There really aren't words for how wonderful Dr. Bell is - not only as a dentist, but as a human being.

I went to Dr. Bell in chronic pain as well as a paralyzing fear of dentistry. Not only has he treated my teeth, but also the underlying reasons for the pain.

He truly has changed my life.

In addition, his staff is fantastic. I have yet to come in contact with one person in his office that does not meet the highest standard of professionalism, courtesy and kindness.

I only wish that everyone could be as fortunate as I am to be cared for by Dr. Bell.

After having been to several dentists in the past, I feel blessed to have found Dr. Bell. Not only is he the best dentist, but he is also an artist. My new smile is proof.

He has repaired my previous dental work, performed root canals when necessary (one saving a tooth which I thought would need to be extracted), put on great looking crowns, and adjusted my bite (which eliminated my jaw pain).

It's obvious that Dr. Bell really cares about each of his patients. He is easy to reach, and will come into the office on his day off to take care of an emergency. He even performed an emergency root canal on my wife on a Sunday.

His staff is great and they are very friendly. I always feel welcomed when I come in.

I highly recommend Dr. Bell to all my friends. After their first visit, they all thank me for doing so.

Dr. Bell is the best dentist I have ever found. After my first visit, I new that Dr. Bell and Cottage Lake Family Dentistry was the clinic for me and my family. In the past 3 years I've had several cleanings, a crown, a filled cavity and something I feared most, a root canal which turned out to be a breeze. I found Dr. Bell to be personable, caring, very experienced and most of all, consistently skilled and gentle in giving Novocain shots in a way that is completely painless. I really appreciate his kind and caring nature and highly recommend him and his staff.

Dr. Bell is one of a kind. I was referred to him after my previous dentist kept ignoring my complaints of pain in one of my teeth. He instantly diagnosed the problem. I needed a root canal. I am very frightened of going to dentist so Dr. Bell provided me some sedation and lots of hand holding. Since then I have had 4 crowns and one extraction. He always takes the time to explain things to me, has given me his pager number and has met me at his office on a Sunday when I had a dental emergency. Dr. Bell and his staff make a great team. They are all warm, caring, and quick to respond to your needs. I always feel safe and well cared for when I am there. Taking care of my dental needs is no longer stressful because I know I am in the hands of someone who really cares about how I feel and wants to make my visits anxiety free. Dr. Bell is an Angel in my book. Before seeing Dr. Bell I had not had my teeth cleaned in 10 years. He talked me through my fears and gave me the courage to follow through on all of my dental work. 18 months later, after 3 bridges and numerous fillings, my pearly whites are as clean as my soul. As a recovering alcoholic and sexual abuse survivor, I highly recommed Dr. Bell. He understands addiction and treats his patients with compassion and respect. I am very grateful to Dr. Bell. I have only had great experiences with Dr. Bell. He is a very personable, caring and gentle dentist. He is very knowledgeable. He is willing to discuss options and procedures in layman's terms. His office staff really seem to enjoy working there. He is very accommodating with his time and listens to what you tell him about concerns with your teeth. Let me start off by saying that I couldn't imagine not having Dr. Bell as my dentist! Most recently, I visited Dr. Bell because a root canal that I had performed by my previous dentist was giving me trouble. Not only was Dr. Bell able to save the tooth and cure the problem, he performed the operation in a manner where I at no time ever experienced any pain or discomfort. Afterwards, he gave me his pager and home phone number and informed me that if I should experience any discomfort to not hesitate to give him a call immediately at his residence. I am 28 years old and, like many of us, have never enjoyed going to the dentist. However, after switching over to Dr. Bell it is something that I now no longer consider a big deal. Dr. Bell and the rest of his staff are the very best!

I picked Dr. Bell out of the phone book when I became disenchanted with my glitzy Mill Creek dentist. I was in constant pain, but I went in not expecting much since I had never received great care from a dentist before....

Boy was I shocked!

Dr. Bell diagnosed me right away - my previous dentist had filled on top of decay and on another tooth had filled all the way to the nerve! He stayed late that very evening to perform an emergency root canal on me.

Afterwards he gave me his pager# in case I had any problems. I did actually have some pain afterwards due to the gases being released by the bacteria that had been trapped for so long in the tooth. I got worried and paged him at 8pm on a Sunday night. I received a call back within 15 minutes. He calmly explained everything that was happening to me so I wouldn't have to be afraid of what I was feeling. He then squeezed me in Mon. morning so he could repack the tooth.

I am continually blown away by the compassion and professionalism of Dr. Bell and everyone at Cottage Lake Dentistry. He is one in a million!

Dr. Bell has been my dentist for 6 or 7 years at the office of Monroe Family Dentistry. He is a great person and a great dentist. Both my husband and I have had crowns put in and we have been very happy with Dr. Bell's work. Doctor Bell performed a bridge to help repair some very poor root canal that was done by another dentist in California.

His explanations of the procedure and preview of what to expect were outstanding.

He made himself available via his pager and cellular phone, and he came to the office on his day off on a Saturday to help with some expected pain after the first of 3 procedures.

I highly recommend Dr Bell and his staff.
